Man and woman shot dead on Saturday morning in Lansing

LANSING, Michigan – A man and woman were found dead from apparent gunshot wounds early Saturday morning at a house in Lansing, police said.

Police tracked down the couple shortly before 2 a.m. responding to a report of a shooting at a house on the 600 block of Baker Street.

Police have not identified any suspects.

“It really is a tragedy. LPD will use all the resources and partnerships it has to hold everyone involved accountable, as a community we owe it to the victims and their families, ”said Lansing Police Chief Daryl Green, in a statement.

These are Lansing’s seventh and eighth homicides this year. That’s more than double the number of homicides committed by the city at the same time last year, and 2020 would be a banner year for homicides in Lansing.
