One-year-old boy in stable condition after drive-by shooting in Mt. Morris Township
MT. MORRIS TWP., MI — A one-year-old boy and a 42-year-old man are both in stable condition after being shot early Monday morning, police said.
Officers were dispatched at approximately 1:40 a.m. Monday, June 27 to the 5400 block of Clubok Drive for a drive-by shooting, according to a news release from the Mt. Morris Township Police Department.
Police said the child was shot in the lower right leg. The child’s father was shot three times – two in the chest and one in the hip.
Both victims are in stable condition, police said.
Authorities said there were three suspects in the shooting, but no arrests have been made. Several shell casings were recovered from the street in front of the house.
Mt. Morris Township Police were assisted at the scene by the Genesee County Sheriff’s Office and Michigan State Police.
The investigation is still ongoing.
