GRAND RAPIDS, Michigan (WOOD) – It’s Halloween and while we want you to have fun, we also want you to be safe.

Kelly Bowman and her family are the proud owners of a vintage mystery machine. This year, she and her neighbors expect more traffic.

“We did a round or a treatment last year, but it was on a much smaller scale,” Bowman said, “we would probably expect over 1,200 rounds or treatments.”

Her three children look forward to going door-to-door each year in their costumes to ask the owners for the best candy.

Emma, Andrew, and Aaron say there are a few things their playmates should know before they go out.

“Don’t hit the road if a car is coming,” said Andrew Bowman, “stay with your parents.”

Andrew’s older brother Aaron says, “You should probably bring a glow stick or flashlight with you.”
